CoinGate, a payment processor that allows cryptocurrency for daily purchases, just released a list of retail establishments that accept Dogecoin.

This announcement proves that the adoption and usage of DOGE as a medium of exchange are growing steadily.

VPN providers, plane ticket vendors, VPS hosting services, and organizations taking Dogecoin donations are among the businesses on the list. It’sIt’s amazing to see how far the adoption of cryptocurrencies has come.

CoinGate lets consumers use Dogecoin gift cards to shop at over 2,000 businesses, including Nike, Airbnb, and Spotify.

Cryptocurrency holders who want to spend it without exchanging it for money will be encouraged by this news. The Dogecoin community is also active in helping to raise money for good causes.

For example, a recent fundraiser saw the Dogecoin community help raise $55,000 for the Jamaican bobsledding team.

Elon Musk Maintains His DOGE Offer to McDonald’s

Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that he still wants to fulfill his McDonald’s deal from a year ago.

In a tweet from April 2018, Musk offered McDonald’s an unnamed item if they would start accepting Dogecoin.

The crypto-community responded quickly to his message with the hashtag #Doge4McDonalds trending all over social media.

However, neither McDonald’s nor Elon Musk has yet revealed what this exchange may be.

This week, Elon was queried on Twitter about the exchange’s status and whether it was still happening. To which Elon replied saying, “Yes.

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX, recently offered a surprising challenge to McDonald’s.

Musk tweeted that he would live-stream a Happy Meal if the fast food chain accepted Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency he supports.

A Happy Meal is usually a combination set for children containing a main dish, side dish, drink, and toy.

But McDonald’s turned down the offer and said that Tesla should start accepting a made-up cryptocurrency called “Grimace Coin.”

This tongue-in-cheek reply highlighted how new and unfamiliar digital currencies are too many people today.

Dogecoin, one of the oldest cryptocurrencies, still needs to be generally accepted by major firms like McDonald’s. In the end, Musk and his team decided to accept Dogecoin on their website.

The CEO said employees at a Tesla store in Los Angeles would fulfill online orders. The first 50 customers could even get a ride in a Tesla Model X.

In Elon Musk’s Business, DOGE Is Accepted

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Dogecoin are a match made in crypto heaven. After DogeDesigner tweeted Musk’s tweet today, some DOGE fans speculated that the fast food behemoth would reconsider Musk’s offer.

The offer itself is rather simple: Mcdonald’s should accept Dogecoin payments. Tesla and other Musk-run enterprises have already adopted meme tokens for their merchandise, but the company has yet to respond.

Tesla accepts Dogecoin for automobile purchases, and SpaceX takes it for satellite launches through its web store.

It’sIt’s unclear if Mcdonald’s will follow suit, but Elon Musk is certainly encouraging mainstream cryptocurrency adoption like Dogecoin.

The Boring Company, Elon Musk’s tech startup formed in October, was a peculiar addition to the DeFi universe.

There was a brief period when the company offered “The Burnt Hair” collector perfume for sale and accepted cryptocurrency payments.

BitPay and other payment alternatives let users buy “The Burnt Hair” with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu meme cryptocurrencies.

Dogecoin’s price, which is up over 5% in the past 24 hours and presently trading at $0.08533, has garnered attention recently.

Musk said the limited-edition Burnt Hair Perfume was a test for bitcoin payments for other Boring Company products.

Musk wrote on Twitter, “This is when we learned crypto is a lot easier and faster than cards.”
