BC Analytics is a survey company that works on diversified projects. The founder of the firm, Benjamin Cowen, took to Twitter to address the subject of Tesla payments pegged to Bitcoin. A few weeks ago, Tesla stopped accepting Bitcoin as payment for their products. The CEO of the EV maker, Elon Musk, claimed that Bitcoin is reportedly creating a lot of carbon pollution.
Musk later issued a statement claiming that Tesla would start accepting Bitcoin once again when a good number of mining projects have converted to green energy. It should be noted that Bitcoin has received massive criticism for depending on the Proof of Stake consensus model that requires a massive energy supply to verify transactions. Cowen cited another tweet from Michael Saylor that claims that Bitcoin has become the cleanest system in the world.
Bitcoin Mining Council Claims that Mining Operations have Become more than 50% Energy Efficient
Bitcoin Mining Council is a voluntary forum for miners committed to promoting transparency and educating the public on clean mining practices. Michael Saylor, the CEO of the business intelligence company MicroStrategy, was recently in attendance at the BMC session. As per a new tweet from Saylor, more than 50% of mining operations worldwide have converted to sustainable energy resources.
Saylor further added that Bitcoin has now become the cleanest industry in the world. A considerable number of Bitcoin stakeholders like Willy Woo, Anthony Pompliano, and Dan Held have taken to Twitter to campaign to restore Bitcoin Tesla payments as promised by Tesla. However, the transparency and credibility of results from BMC are weak considering the massive bias for personal interest.
One maximalist, LilMoonLambo, even tagged Elon Musk in a clip claiming that the eye of Sauron powers the dollar while Bitcoin is a much safer alternative.
More investors are challenging Tesla’s CEO to bring forth evidence supporting Bitcoin being a dangerous option for the environment.
