When it comes to tourism, Thailand is considered to be one of the most visited tourist countries in the world. Almost every person with aims to travel around the world wants to take a tour to Thailand once in their lives. The country is known for its beautiful tourist spots that include traditional places and historical backgrounds.
One of the highly visited places in Thailand is temples, palaces, and beaches that can be found all over the country. Tourism is one of the major factors that has allowed the country to generate enormous amounts of revenue.
However, due to the pandemic, even some of the most peaceful and safest countries in the world found themselves helpless. Due to the pandemic, the country has incurred a lot of damage to its annual revenues and is hopeful that the travel bans are lifted off soon from around the world.
Therefore, the country has been making all the efforts to revive its tourism industry as soon as possible. As per the latest reports, the cryptocurrency holders’ community from Japan is now being targeted by the tourism industry from Thailand.
According to the reports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is now aiming to make Thailand the first country to be for cryptocurrency holders. The TAT in particular is welcoming the cryptocurrency holding community from Japan because Thailand considers it to be the hub for cryptocurrencies in the region.
In order to achieve this goal, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is now looking at the possibilities of adopting cryptocurrencies. The TAT is reportedly conducting studies and tests in order to enable cryptocurrency payment methods for crypto-tourists. This would allow the cryptocurrency community to travel around the country and be able to pay through digital assets.
Due to huge financial losses in the tourism sector, the country is currently looking for cryptocurrency holders with heavy wallets. The main reason is that these tourists will be traveling all across the country and will be able to visit every single tourist spot. This would eventually allow the country to generate a decent amount of revenue from tourism.
It was just the end of the 1st quarter of the year 2020 when the entire Asian continent shut down due to the pandemic. Thailand is known for generating a lot of revenue from inter-continental tourists as well as from other continents. There are many European tourists that travel Thailand throughout the year to visit the old and religious places in the country.
However, the regulators in the country are highly concerned about the regulatory nature of cryptocurrencies. According to regulators, the usage of cryptocurrencies in Thailand must be according to the country’s rules and regulations.
