However, Ripple (XRP) operators confirmed that they currently lack the knowledge and information to initiate the CBDC program. Therefore, Ripple (XRP) management has recently made an announcement where it has dropped the news on its users.
Ripple (XRP) has announced that it is currently seeking to onboard a senior director who would help them in central bank related projects. The firm confirmed that the sole responsibility of the new director would be to streamline the CBDC project for Ripple (XRP).
Once the new director has been selected, Ripple (XRP) will have its next course of action set out. Ripple (XRP) has stated that it wants its director to build up a strategy with the central banks with respect to CBDC. Furthermore, the director will be responsible for building up relationships between Ripple (XRP) and the central banks.

The director would also be responsible for initiating new projects around CBDC as well as educating central banks on the adoption of the crypto-blockchain technology.
With their current job posting, Ripple (XRP) has made it clear that it is serious about hiring a new director and initiating their CBDC project. Ripple (XRP) has posted that the individual interested to take on the job and responsibility should be a veteran.
In the ad posted by Ripple (XRP), it has demanded that the individual must have at least 10 years of experience in account management and technology. On top of that, the individual must have great communication skills to execute large sales to central banks or financial institutions.
Although Ripple (XRP) has revealed its intentions of working on a CBDC project, it is yet to be revealed whether it is already involved in any other CBDC related projects. However, it was revealed back in May 2020 that Ripple (XRP) did hold a meeting with the central bank of Brazil. The details of the meeting are yet to be revealed.
