Since the merge, talks about Algorand and its improvements flooded the crypto community. The layer 1 network can now handle 6000 transactions per second which is much more than any mainnet currently in the TOP10. Algorand also claims that it managed to reach such throughput without compromising security — one of the critical downsides of any move toward making Ethereum or Cardano faster.

FIFA+ Collect is a very important player in this case

Algorand makes its claim to become the most efficient blockchain network and takes the spot of Ethereum as the premier destination for app builders who want to create new exciting products that can be easily integrated into the web3 space. However, only making claims is not enough. Ethereum has a significant advantage and enjoys the loyalty of already deployed applications and projects.

The recent merge did not result in a growth of value for ETH. It was a very disappointing event that immediately forced the flagship token of the network to lose about 17% of its value. The cash outflow was also much higher than the inflow allowing many experts to start talking about the potential exodus of developers and investors.

While such propositions are largely unsubstantiated right now, we do not know what will happen in the nearest future. Some really large corporations are betting on Algorand.

For example, FIFA decided to launch its own NFT platform and develop new digital products for fans from across the globe on the Algorand network ensuring that the platform will receive support from a really big international brand. Other companies like Coca-Cola and Disney as well as other popular brands are also working with Algorand.

The future for the token looks promising

Currently, Algorand is not that expensive. It is priced at $0.38 as of the time of writing. However, the potential to surge dramatically during the next Bull run is here. It is an up-and-coming technological platform that can already attract big names like FIFA. It means that more established brands may follow if FIFA’s foray into the world of NFTs will prove to be successful!
