Coinbase Concerned over Apple’s Insistence to Change Products

Brian Armstrong who is the Chief Executive Officer at Coinbase reported to have said through a social media platform that Apple has been insisting on the Coinbase to change its products. The Coinbase CEO has decided to confront Apple, a major business enterprise of the US, to re-examine its policies which are against the interests of the developers of crypto-based applications.

Coinbase, which is one of the largest and most famous crypto exchange firm headquartered in America, has shown its concern by alleging that Apple is trying to jeopardize the rights of developers of crypto applications by hampering the innovation in order to keep itself away from the fair competition. Armstrong said that such activities carried out by Apple are contrary to the rights of the developers and against the principle of fair competition. From his official twitter account, he has been seen talking to the public where he has claimed that many of the cryptocurrency developers are facing a really hard time to cope with the policies of Apple due to which various functionalities have been completely debarred which were though critically essential for the developers of digitalized currency.

The CEO further claimed that the well-being of many developers has been put on a stake and there is no one coming out from the crypto industry to speak with Apple because they are afraid that they will be subjected to further down sliding if they will speak against Apple or its policies. However, wants to take up the matter directly with the management of Apple because the water has gone over the head and the only possible solution seems to have a one-on-one dialogue between the two.

He however said though the policies applied by Apple are apparently for ensuring the protection of the customers, however, it in actual fact it is a deliberate attempt from Apple to avoid getting into fair competition.

He went on to state that by restricting users to access Apple App Store only instead of DAppas or asking them to conduct their purchases while not accepting payments through cryptocurrency, is a total disregard of the lawful rights of the customers which is not permissible in accordance with the business practices.

According to Mr. Armstrong, Apple has categorically denied Coinbase to add particularly two smart features to its iOS system which has severely damaged Coinbase’s well-being. He said that if these functionalities have been allowed to be incorporated with the Apple’s iOS system, then the company would have been able to earn money while on the other hand, it could have accessed DeFi apps. According to reports, Coinbase is looking forward to submit its written request to Apple to bring down its policies in line with the well-being of the cryptocurrency developers.
